By Linda J Reyes | Nails Done Right
If youâve ever wondered why nail services are priced the way they areâyouâre not alone.
Nails today are no longer a simple service. Theyâve become detailed, creative, and highly personalized. What looks like âjust a fillâ often includes structure, balance, precision, and time that most people donât see behind the scenes.
A basic 3-week fill is $60 and booked for 60 minutes. That hour is fully allocated:
- 15 min â prep
- 15 min â product application
- 15 min â shaping
- 15 min â polish
That is a complete, properly executed service.
But when appointments extend beyond 3 weeksâor when we add extras like chrome, nail replacements, French tips, or detailed nail artâthe time required changes significantly.
For example:
- Chrome alone adds multiple steps and at least 7 extra minutes
- Nail replacements take 5â7 minutes per nail
- Painted tips add 7â10 minutes total
- Hand-painted art or crystals can add 10â15 minutes per nail
So the real question becomes: in a 60-minute appointment, what gets shortened?
The truth isâit all takes time. And not everything can be safely or properly fit into the same window without compromising the work.
This is why not every fill is the same, and why some services need to be planned with the proper time reserved.
Because nails that last arenât rushed. Theyâre respected.
A Personal Note
After 40 years, this is the first time Iâve really talked about pricing like thisâopenly, and from the heart.
Because to me, youâre not just a client.
Youâre my guest.
Someone who trusts me with your time, your hands, and your experience while youâre here. And that means everything to me.
There was a time I would spend 2, 3, even 4 hours on a set⌠and charge far less than what that time was worth.
And I reached a point where I had to make a decision:
Saying yes to everything was no longer sustainable.
It took me four decades of experience, growth, and learning to finally sayâ
My time matters.
My work matters.
And yes⌠I am worth it.
What Youâre Really Investing In
When you sit in my chair, youâre investing in:
40 years behind the tableâreal, hands-on experience
A private, relaxed space⌠just you and me, one-on-one
Techniques that protect and respect your natural nails
The time and attention it takes to do things properly
Nails built for strength, balance, and long-term wear
Closing Thoughts
Pricing shouldnât feel confusing.
It should feel clear⌠fair⌠and aligned with the level of care you receive.
Because at the end of the day, this isnât just about nails.
Itâs about trust.
Itâs about consistency.
And itâs about knowing that every time you sit in my chair,
youâre going to be taken care of the right way.
