Finding My Joy Again, One Nail at a Time.

What a difference a week makes.

Last week, I wondered whether I had anything left to give to the work I’ve loved for 40 years. Today, I look at this rainbow of nail colors and feel a little spark of excitement again.

It’s been a painful month. Social media can look like rainbows and butterflies, but behind the pretty pictures, we all have struggles. I’ve been working through mine.

I’m just keeping it real.

Finding My Footing Again

Owning a business and being its only employee means wearing every hat. Some days, the work feels exciting. Other days, when life adds its own heartache, even small things can feel overwhelming.

Over the past few months, I’ve been learning to rebuild my website, one product at a time. Descriptions, photos, keyphrases, links—even changing code with help from ChatGPT. Me, the nail tech!

There have been long hours and plenty of frustration. But there have also been those little victories. Two green dots from Yoast? You’d better believe I celebrate them! LOL.

Brick by brick, I’m building a foundation. I’m learning to give myself credit for that.

The Little Things That Helped

My morning routines kept me going. Quiet time by the river. Meditation. Giving myself a moment to breathe before beginning another day.

And my clients—the women who opened their arms and hugged me tight when I finally shared how I was feeling. After years of listening to their stories across my table, I felt grateful to be heard, too.

Joy started returning in small moments. A conversation. A laugh. A nail color I suddenly wanted to try.

These Colors Give Me Life

Looking at my Shop by Shade page, I see more than bottles of gel polish. I see colors I’ve chosen, work I’ve put in, and possibilities I’m excited to share.

These days, my joy is less about five-hour nails and more about an hour together. Simple, beautiful nails. A favorite shade. Someone leaving my table feeling a little brighter.

One client at a time. Making a difference, one nail at a time.

There’s still plenty to figure out, but I feel like I’m beginning again. I’m finding joy in nails—and in the little things that have been here all along.

If life feels heavy for you, too, I hope you find a small moment of joy today. Mine came in a rainbow of nail colors.

I believe in this. And I believe in me.

With love,
LINDA ❤️
